Longmeadow High School is one of the outstanding high schools in the U.S. Currently, there are 1080 students enrolled. Average class size is 22. Eighty-four percent of the faculty have earned a Master's degree or higher. LHS offers Advanced Placement courses in 14 subjects, and honors courses in all major subject areas.
Longmeadow High is know for its strong academic, music and sports programs. The High School Band has recently performed at Carnegie Hall. There are over 30 interscholastic teams. The Football team were undefeated in 2003-2004 and won the Central Massachusetts Division I Superbowl Championship. The Girl's Lacrosse took the Massachusetts Division I Championship this spring. Likewise the Boys and Girls Tennis teams took home consecutive Division I Championship titles.
